1979 Moto Guzzi Spada 1000SP
These early Tonti framed Guzzis are getting tough to find in original condition. I thought I may restore this bike but I now have other priorities. Mileage shows only 8504, not sure if this original or if the bike has a lot more.
This is a project bike and has no title and does not run. Sold with a bill of sale.
The good.
Engine turns over, rolls freely, shifts through the gears.
Front brake still works!
Original black and white paint.
Still has its original fairing and side fairings
Aftermarket deep sump with external filter
The bad.
No title!
No air cleaner, mufflers will need mounting brackets
I have a box of brackets to attach the fairing but I cannot guarantee all parts are there.
No wind shield.
The bike is a solid candidate for rehabilitation,  these 1000cc bikes I believe had steel liners in their cylinders rather than the chrome liners of the earlier loop frames, T and T3 bikes. So may not need new cylinders and piston kits.
Restore it as a 1000SP use as parts bike or build your own cafe racer/LeMans tribute. These bikes were very similar to the mk2 LeMans with same frame, reset foot controls, wheels and braking system.
Tires hold air but will need replacing, brakes will need attention. Has BUB mufflers that will need a couple of brackets making up.
Carbs will need cleaning.
I have some spares that can go with if wanted including a spare side fairing and Krausers hard bags and frames.
I can keep the bike for up to 2 weeks if it is paid for in advance.
