1956 Rolls Royce Cloud 1 – Running and Driving Restoration Project

We are listing this Rolls Royce for a new local client of ours who bought this Rolls Royce without understanding what they were buying and what it truly needed.
In the interest of full disclosure this car needs work to be fully road worthy as well as a cosmetic refurbishment – Would make a wonderful base for a full restoration professionally or an excellent project for someone that wants a Rolls Royce project for themselves to complete.
The car does run and start and runs better than we expected based on the fact that it has not had real service in many years.
The transmission does engage both forward and reverse smoothly.
The Brakes do work – both the mechanical and hydraulic – it does have a leaking wheel cylinder on the right front – the servo does work as the power brakes do operate once the car is moving.
We can see that the servo seal will need to be replaced.
A host of leaks and some tooth damage to the flywheel from the failed starter drive is present.
We did replace the starter drive with a NOS part.
The car has had the front seats redone in red vinyl and a portion of the rear seat as well.
The entire outside of the car has been sprayed in aerosol white spray paint in the color “Refrigerator White.”
The original color I think is Navy blue.
The chrome is not perfect but still useable with some cleaning and buffing.
Yes it needs a full paint job – Yes the car has Bondo in it.

We both agreed he made a mistake buying and would be better suited for another more capable person.
